Love Lakewood Sunday

One Sunday. One Church. One City.

A unified community church service for all of Lakewood.

  • Bear Creek High School Gym
  • September 20
  • 10:00 am

An open invitation

You are invited. You are welcome. There is a place for you.

Maybe church has been part of your life since you were a kid. Maybe you walked away years ago and have not looked back. Maybe you have never been to one and have always been a little curious — or a little wary.

All of that is welcome here. You can come, sit down, and take it in without anyone asking anything of you. No sign-in sheet, no raised hands, no one working the room. Just one morning, in a high school gym, with your neighbors.

Hosted together

5 Lakewood churches, one morning

Different buildings, different Sundays, different styles — setting all of that aside for one morning because we love the same city. More churches are joining as the date gets closer.

Invite someone

Most people come because a friend asked them.

Not a flyer. Not an ad. A person they trust saying “come with me.” If there is someone you have been thinking about — a neighbor, a coworker, your brother-in-law — this is an easy morning to invite them to.

Every link goes to this page, so whoever you send it to gets the same honest answers you did.

Lend a hand

A morning like this takes a few hundred people

Every job is small, and most of them are just being kind to someone in a parking lot. If you can give a couple of hours on September 20, there is a spot for you.

Serve at Love Lakewood Sunday
  • Hospitality

Welcome people at the doors, hand out programs, answer questions, and help guests find a seat.

  • Parking

Direct traffic in the lot, guide guests toward the entrance, and help drivers who need accessible parking or a drop-off.

  • Safety

Keep an eye on entrances and walkways, and be a calm, visible presence throughout the morning.

  • Prayer

Pray for the morning ahead of time, and be available to pray with anyone who asks afterward.

  • Set-up and tear-down

Arrive early to set up chairs, signage, and sound — or stay after to help put the gym back the way we found it.
