Love Lakewood Sunday
One Sunday. One Church. One City.
A unified community church service for all of Lakewood.
An open invitation
You are invited. You are welcome. There is a place for you.
Maybe church has been part of your life since you were a kid. Maybe you walked away years ago and have not looked back. Maybe you have never been to one and have always been a little curious — or a little wary.
All of that is welcome here. You can come, sit down, and take it in without anyone asking anything of you. No sign-in sheet, no raised hands, no one working the room. Just one morning, in a high school gym, with your neighbors.
- Getting there Plan your visit Where to park, where to walk in, accessible parking and drop-off, and what to do with the kids. Take a look
- The hour itself What to expect Exactly what happens, in order — and what will not happen. About an hour, start to finish. Take a look
- Straight answers Questions Is it free? What do I wear? What if church has hurt me before? Asked and answered plainly. Take a look
Hosted together
5 Lakewood churches, one morning
Different buildings, different Sundays, different styles — setting all of that aside for one morning because we love the same city. More churches are joining as the date gets closer.
Invite someone
Most people come because a friend asked them.
Not a flyer. Not an ad. A person they trust saying “come with me.” If there is someone you have been thinking about — a neighbor, a coworker, your brother-in-law — this is an easy morning to invite them to.
Every link goes to this page, so whoever you send it to gets the same honest answers you did.
Lend a hand
A morning like this takes a few hundred people
Every job is small, and most of them are just being kind to someone in a parking lot. If you can give a couple of hours on September 20, there is a spot for you.
Serve at Love Lakewood Sunday-

Keep an eye on entrances and walkways, and be a calm, visible presence throughout the morning.
-
Prayer
